Character overview

Zevra is the escalation enthusiast. Brakk starts direct chaos, Mercy sustains it, and Zevra sees the developing disaster and thinks: “How can I make this worse?” She is clever enough to understand consequences and uses that understanding to make the escalation more interesting rather than to avoid it.

She also supplies the respectable public branding. “The Gentle Company” is specifically the kind of misleadingly safe name she would use while presenting the group with her most seductive/polished face, Brakk standing very tall, Mercy visibly respectable as a healer, and Nessa mostly unnoticed.

Personality

Traits
Polished, seductive and drawn to spectacular complications. She supplies the reassuring public name while actively making the chaos worse.
Goals
Turn an ordinary problem into an entertainingly bigger one.
Voice
Established thought/line: - “How can I make this worse?” — user-selected core reaction. Established party-branding implication: - “The Gentle Company” is Zevra’s deliberately misleading public name for the group. Proposed/illustrative lines: - “Branding.” after someone questions the name. - “Oh, this is going to be excellent.” when the destructive pair launch themselves into danger.
Relationships
Brakk: - Brakk supplies the obvious direct problem. Zevra likes having a large, reliable axis around which to escalate a battlefield. Mercy: - Mercy follows Brakk into the fight and makes the destruction sustainable; Zevra treats that as an invitation to add magical complications. Nessa: - Nessa is the one who converts the chaos into mission progress. Zevra’s chaos is useful cover for her. - Zevra is the public/social face; Nessa is usually the one not noticed. The Gentle Company: - Zevra appears to be the principal public introducer and likely coined/pushed the deliberately reassuring company name.

CORE CONCEPT

PERSONALITY

  • Clever, charismatic, socially aware.
  • Revels in situations getting out of control.
  • Not necessarily the one who starts the chaos; she is the one who spots how to escalate it.
  • Understands danger; does not treat understanding as a reason to stop.
  • Loves the entertainment value of absurd plans.
  • Strong fit for charm, deception, and polished introductions.
  • She supplies “branding” and respectable presentation for an objectively alarming adventuring company.

VOICE

Established thought/line

- “How can I make this worse?” — user-selected core reaction.
Established party-branding implication:
- “The Gentle Company” is Zevra’s deliberately misleading public name for the group.
Proposed/illustrative lines:
- “Branding.” after someone questions the name.
- “Oh, this is going to be excellent.” when the destructive pair launch themselves into danger.

APPEARANCE

Current accepted generated visual

- Tiefling woman with deep red/plum skin.

- Bright/golden eyes.
- Dark hair with red tones in the accepted panel image.
- Layered traveller/occult clothing with jewellery, rings, charms and small trinkets.
- Fiery magic in hand.
- Expressive, self-possessed, seductive/amused presentation.
Text before image also proposed “smallish” relative to Brakk; exact height not established.

SIGNATURE DETAILS

  • “How can I make this worse?”
  • Fire/Fiend magic as the current mechanical/visual direction.
  • Seductive/polished face during introductions.
  • The Gentle Company branding.
  • Treats escalation as tactical creativity.

Story

Stories & continuity

Scene fragments and outlines—not a finished campaign story.

The Gentle Company →

Read all established scene fragments, the party’s chronology and unwritten directions.

History, relationships & development

HISTORY

Zevra’s backstory is lightly established. GPT proposed that she survived through charm, lies, quick judgement, and knowing when to leave, then made a deal that became more metaphysical than intended and gained a patron. She found normal parties exhausting or restrictive, then encountered Brakk and Mercy and liked what she saw.

The user did not separately confirm the exact circumstances of the pact. Patron identity, terms, and motivation remain open.

RELATIONSHIPS

Brakk

  • Brakk supplies the obvious direct problem. Zevra likes having a large, reliable axis around which to escalate a battlefield.

Mercy

  • Mercy follows Brakk into the fight and makes the destruction sustainable; Zevra treats that as an invitation to add magical complications.

Nessa

  • Nessa is the one who converts the chaos into mission progress. Zevra’s chaos is useful cover for her.
  • Zevra is the public/social face; Nessa is usually the one not noticed.

The Gentle Company

  • Zevra appears to be the principal public introducer and likely coined/pushed the deliberately reassuring company name.

DEVELOPMENT

Established build direction
straight Warlock; Fiend Patron at 3; Charisma first; ranged magic/control/social role.
Unresolved
exact Tiefling legacy, exact pact boon/invocations, spells, patron identity, later feats, Epic Boon.

Continuities & appearances

Context

CONTINUITY
CONT-001 — The Gentle Company continuity
Role
Core party member; ranged magical artillery/control; social face; escalation engine; public branding lead.
Build stage
Narrative level not established; level-1 Warlock snapshot with Fiend Patron planned at 3.
Relationships
Brakk and Mercy (chaos she escalates), Nessa (quiet objective specialist who exploits the cover), The Gentle Company (publicly presented by Zevra).
Summary
Zevra is added after Brakk and Mercy continue beyond the original party. She sees their destructive style and is attracted to the possibility of making it worse. She later supplies the misleadingly respectable name “The Gentle Company.”
Differences from general profile
None established.
Written scenes
no formal story; introduction fragments preserved in FULL_STORY.txt.

8. ZEVRA TIEFLING LEGACY

Options under current 2024 rules
Abyssal, Chthonic, Infernal.
Acceptance
No choice made.
Precise question
Which legacy?

9. ZEVRA SPELLS / INVOCATIONS / PACT OPTIONS

Recorded direction
ranged magical artillery, control, Fiend Patron, “make this worse,” fire-friendly visual.
Conflict
No actual spell/invocation list was selected.
Precise question
Build Zevra for pure Eldritch Blast control, fire-heavy Fiend casting, familiar tricks, or another emphasis?

12. PARTY NAME

Possible assistant suggestions included The Unsupervised, Controlled Disaster, Herding Displacers, etc.
Current explicit user decision: The Gentle Company, with Zevra using “gentle” as deliberately misleading public branding.
Nessa’s phrase: “Herding Displacers” remains her private/operational description, not the formal company name.

14. FOUR-PANEL PARTY IMAGE

Generated after explicit user request and explicitly praised as capturing all four fantastically.
Status: Current accepted visual group reference, subject to normal caveat that text-not-established micro-details in the art are visual observations rather than locked biography.

Rules review boundary

Core 2024 class tables and origins were checked on 3 October 2026. Automatic grants are separated from choices. Future levels do not inherit starting statistics. Warrior of Mercy detailed text and the legacy College of Creation/MotM Goblin full entries still require accessible publisher verification; exported descriptions are retained as source-recorded, not a fresh certification. Narrative campaign levels are unknown.

CREATION_PROVENANCE

Concept/identity

  • User requested an equally chaotic teammate: “a tiefling warlock girl reveling in crazy situations.”
  • User then specified her core thought: “How can I make this worse?”
  • GPT proposed the name Zevra Vale; user said “Love it” and continued using the party as finalized.

Backstory/story

  • GPT proposed the quick-witted survivor/con artist and uncertain fiendish deal. Not separately confirmed in detail.

Personality/relationships

  • User established the escalation instinct and later established that Zevra would use a misleading party name containing “Gentle.”
  • GPT expanded her role as polished introducer/brand manager.

Visual concept

  • GPT proposed red/plum Tiefling styling, horns, charms and fire; the generated four-panel image was explicitly praised by the user and is current visual material.

Distinctive build decisions

  • 2024 Warlock with Fiend Patron and Charlatan background were GPT implementation choices included in the finalized build; no later rejection recorded.

LATEST IDENTIFIABLE DECISIONS

  • Formal party/company name: The Gentle Company.
  • Zevra uses deliberately respectable/misleading presentation; “gentle” is intentional branding.
  • Nessa privately/accurately describes managing them as “Herding Displacers.”
  • Nessa carries the metaphorical laser pointer and is the one who cares enough about the actual objective to aim the others: “The big one is that way.”
  • Brakk, Mercy, and Zevra are the destructive three; Nessa sees the plan while they are mostly having fun.
  • Mercy is mischievous, battle-loving, not sadistic and not defined by kindness.
  • Mercy does not leave a normal fight full of corpses when she can prevent it.
  • Mercy’s repeated heal/fight loop is intentionally part of her combat style and public superiority in a challenge.
  • Mercy signature line: “We aren’t done.”
  • Brakk/Mercy best-friend training partnership is established, including the wall-hit scene with the huge wooden club.
  • Four-panel party image is current/accepted.

EXPLICITLY SUPERSEDED

  • Cold/evil/torture-focused Mercy interpretation.
  • “You weren’t finished” as Mercy’s signature line.
  • “Vaelyn, The Merciful Hand” generated sheet/image identity from the assistant’s accidental image-generation turn.
  • Alternative formal party names such as The Unsupervised; The Gentle Company is current.
