AERI VELLUNE — COMPLETE AVAILABLE WRITTEN SCENES
NOTE
No formal story title or chapter sequence was established. The following two scenes are reproduced in the order they were written in the conversation. Headings are the headings used when they were originally generated.
SCENE 1 — “WAIT—ARE YOU A BARD??”
The road had been quiet for hours.
Too quiet, according to the ranger.
“Peaceful,” according to everyone else.
Aeri had been walking backwards for the last ten minutes, headphones on, one ear slightly lifted.
“No no no—hold on—stop—stop—STOP.”
The party freezes.
The fighter’s hand goes straight to their weapon.
“Ambush?”
Aeri tilts her head.
“…no. Better.”
She turns.
Somewhere ahead, faint through the trees—
A lute.
Not perfect. Slightly off tempo. Human.
Live.
Her eyes go wide.
“WAIT—ARE YOU A BARD??”
And she’s already running.
They find him in a small clearing.
A young man, travel-worn, sitting on a rock, playing to absolutely no one.
He stops mid-strum as a brightly colored elven girl bursts through the foliage like a magical accident.
“Hi—hi—sorry—don’t stop—keep playing—what key are you in??”
“…what?”
She is already circling him.
Inspecting.
Listening.
Her floating table hums into existence beside her with a soft whrrr.
“Okay your tone is a little dry—do you always play like this or is it the humidity—wait do that again—no the other one—yes that—hold it—hold it—”
The bard looks at the party.
The party looks at the bard.
The rogue shrugs.
“We just met her.”
Aeri leans in, deadly serious.
“Do you harmonize?”
“I—sometimes?”
“Show me.”
“I don’t—know what—”
“I’ll guide you. Just—trust me.”
She taps her table.
A soft tone plays. Then another. Then a third—building a chord under his melody.
He hesitates.
Then plays.
It… works.
Barely at first.
Then suddenly—
It locks.
Her eyes light up like sunrise.
“YES—okay again—again—this time I’ll layer under you—”
The party watches as:
- a random roadside bard
- and a noble elven artificer idol
- spontaneously create a duet in the middle of nowhere
With glowing lights.
Floating sound.
And zero awareness of danger.
At the end, she grabs his hands.
“You’re GOOD. Not like—trained good—but like—interesting good.”
“…thank you?”
“I’m taking a sample.”
“I—what?”
She taps a crystal on her table.
It pulses.
“Okay you’re in Track 7 now.”
“…I’m in what?”
She beams.
“We’re collaborating.”
As the party leaves:
The bard sits there.
In silence.
Processing.
The fighter leans toward the rogue.
“Is she always like this?”
The rogue watches Aeri skip ahead, humming.
“…I think we’re in her world now.”
SCENE 2 — “THE DROP”
The ruins shouldn’t have been this crowded.
Shapes moved in the dark—too many.
Steel rang.
Orders were shouted.
The party tightened formation.
Aeri stood slightly behind them.
Still.
Listening.
The first clash hit hard.
The fighter locked one down.
The rogue vanished.
The ranger called targets.
Everything normal.
Controlled.
Then more came.
From the sides.
From above.
The rhythm broke.
“Too many!”
“We’re getting surrounded!”
“Fall back—!”
And through it all—
Aeri tilted her head.
“…no.”
No panic.
Just focus.
Her table flickered into existence.
Lights low.
Soft.
A background hum begins.
She moves one slider.
“You’re all… too loud.”
Another.
“No structure.”
Tap.
“No spacing.”
An enemy rushes her.
She doesn’t look.
“Not your turn.”
A sharp pulse—Thunderclap—it stumbles.
The party is too busy to notice.
At first.
She watches them.
Really watches.
Their movement.
Their timing.
Their gaps.
Then—
She smiles.
“Okay… I hear it.”
She steps forward.
Not into safety.
Into the middle.
Her voice cuts through the chaos:
“Everyone—on me.”
No one listens.
Not really.
She raises one hand.
The other slides—
crossfade.
“Now.”
Faerie Fire explodes outward.
Not random.
Perfectly placed.
Every enemy outlined—
in rhythm.
The rogue stops.
Just for a fraction.
“…what?”
Aeri’s eyes glow.
“You were out of sync.”
Beat.
“Let’s fix that.”
She pulls both hands down—
hard.
“DROP.”
Thunderwave.
But not wild.
Not desperate.
Directed.
Shaped.
Timed between allies.
Enemies slam backward.
Into each other.
Into walls.
Into positions.
The fighter realizes first.
Every target—
exactly where they need to be.
The ranger fires.
Two down.
Clean.
The rogue moves.
Like they’ve practiced this.
They haven’t.
Everything clicks.
Aeri is already adjusting.
“Too slow—speed it up—”
A flick.
The fighter’s timing tightens.
“You—left side—watch the gap—”
Light shifts.
The ranger corrects instantly.
She isn’t casting spells anymore.
She’s—
conducting.
The battlefield becomes:
- structured
- paced
- controlled
And then—
Silence.
The last enemy falls.
No one moves.
The fighter looks around.
At the spacing.
At the positions.
At how clean it all was.
Then at her.
She’s already adjusting her table.
Muttering.
“Okay that middle section was messy but the drop was solid…”
The rogue exhales.
“…we didn’t win that.”
Beat.
“…she produced it.”
Aeri looks up.
Bright. Casual.
“Oh—yeah. That worked.”
She smiles.
“Good set 😊”
Story, cast & world guide
AERI VELLUNE VIGNETTES — STORY GUIDE
TITLE
- Formal story title
- Not established.
- Administrative folder label
- aeri-vellune-vignettes.
- Continuity/world name
- Not established.
PREMISE
Two short scenes demonstrate Aeri Vellune’s defining genre mismatch: she approaches fantasy-world music and combat as an idol/DJ producer. One scene centers her teenage-fangirl excitement over a roadside bard; the other shows the same producer mindset becoming effective battlefield control.
SETTING
Unnamed fantasy world.
Known locations:
- A road/forest route with a small clearing where an unnamed bard plays alone.
- Ruins with stone walls/architecture where a battle takes place.
No named settlements, nations, or world lore are established.
TONE
- Playful character comedy rooted in earnestness rather than parody.
- Bright, modern performance energy against ordinary fantasy surroundings.
- The second scene shifts toward cinematic competence without abandoning the music metaphor.
THEMES / CHARACTER IDEAS PRESENT
- Innovation in a culture that has no category for what Aeri is doing.
- Music as a way of perceiving and organizing reality.
- Collaboration and sampling.
- Genre contrast between traditional fantasy and pop-idol/DJ language.
- Performance as battlefield control.
CHRONOLOGY
Exact chronology relative to Aeri’s level progression is not established.
Reading order follows conversation order:
1. “Scene 1 — WAIT—ARE YOU A BARD??”

- Important to later images and planned Artillerist direction, but not explicitly used in the written prose scenes.
RELATIONSHIPS
Aeri + party
- Party appears more conventionally fantasy-minded.
- Aeri’s behaviour is initially baffling but accepted as part of travelling with her.
- By the battle vignette, her unusual framing proves tactically effective.

- Immediate enthusiastic musical interest.
- Aeri treats the encounter as a spontaneous collaboration.
- No romance or longer-term relationship is established.

PLANNED / UNWRITTEN DEVELOPMENTS DISCUSSED
- A possible scene where her noble family sees her perform for the first time.
- A possible emotional turning point where someone cannot be “fixed” and she cannot simply reframe the event as part of a set.
These were suggestions, not written canon.
VISUALIZATION NOTES
Generated action images expand the “The Drop” concept into two complementary concert metaphors
- “View from stage”: Aeri seen from behind, centered in the fight, arms raised as if conducting the entire battlefield.
- “Crowd experience”: Aeri seen from the party/enemy side as the central performer.
These are visual concept pieces, not additional written scenes.
Decisions, alternatives & inconsistencies
1. RULES EDITION / BUILD LEGALITY
Version A
- Project default says use 2024 D&D 5e unless otherwise requested.
Version B:
- Recorded build uses legacy-style fixed High Elf ability increases and legacy Artificer presentation.
Accepted status:
- No explicit user decision resolving the edition mismatch appears in this conversation.
Question to resolve:
- “Should Aeri be rebuilt strictly under 2024/5.5e rules, or should the recorded legacy-style Artificer 1 sheet remain canonical?”
2. ALIGNMENT
Version A
- No alignment established in text.
Version B:
- Generated character-sheet image prints “Chaotic Neutral.”
Accepted status:
- No explicit acceptance of Chaotic Neutral.
Question:
- “Is Aeri’s alignment Chaotic Neutral, another alignment, or intentionally unspecified?”
3. AGE
Early concept
- User described her as “young teen (17-19).”
Later constraint:
- User requested artwork depict her “at least 18yo and sfw.”
Recorded build:
- Age 18.
Current status:
- 18 is the latest specific age and avoids the earlier range ambiguity.
Question only if desired:
- “Keep exact age 18, or leave her as an adult in the 18–19 range?”
4. ARMOR CLASS / ARMOUR
Earlier assistant draft
- AC 15 while also stating Studded Leather 12 + DEX 2 (arithmetically inconsistent).
Later build + generated sheet:
- AC 14, Studded Leather 12 + DEX 2.
Current status:
- AC 14 is the latest recorded value.
Rules caveat:
- Whether studded leather is the final equipment choice under a future 2024 rebuild is unresolved.
Question:
- “Keep studded leather/idol outfit mechanically, or choose different armour when finalizing the rules edition?”
5. THUNDERCLAP MECHANICS
Text build
- Chosen as one of two artificer cantrips; described as close-range bass pulse.
Generated character sheet:
- Displays it under attacks as “Ranged Spell Attack: +5” and “Hit: 1d6 Thunder (5 ft. radius).”
Conflict:
- The image wording was never verified and may be mechanically wrong.
Accepted status:
- Spell identity is recorded; exact mechanical procedure is unresolved/unverified.
Question:
- “Should the final website retain Thunderclap after a rules-legal rebuild, and which rules text should govern it?”
6. ARTIFICER SUBCLASS
Proposal
- Artillerist recommended because the cannon can be the speaker system.
User response:
- “Of course the turret is a bass speaker.”
Interpretation:
- Bass-speaker turret is explicitly accepted; Artillerist is strongly implied but not separately declared final.
Question:
- “Confirm Artillerist as the canonical subclass?”
7. BARD DIP
Established concept
- User’s original premise explicitly includes “artificer with bard dip.”
Unresolved:
- Number of Bard levels.
- Timing.
- Subclass.
Assistant proposal:
- 1–3 Bard levels later, with Bardic Inspiration as hype support.
Question:
- “How many Bard levels should she take, starting at what character level, and does she take a Bard subclass?”
8. LEVEL 4 ASI
Proposal
- “INT → 18 or 20.”
Problem:
- No specific ASI/feat plan was accepted, and the stated jump depends on ability-score rules.
Question:
- “What exact ASI or feat should she take at the first opportunity under the chosen rules edition?”
9. SOUND GRENADE
User proposal
- “Or a ‘sound grenade’.”
Assistant expanded it into pop/bass/silent variants.
Accepted status:
- No variant or mechanic was accepted.
Question:
- “Is the sound grenade a canonical invention, and if so should it be purely flavour, a magic item, or a custom consumable?”
10. BUBBLEGUM INVENTION
User wording
- “she probably invented bubblegum.”
Accepted status:
- Playful proposal; no later confirmation.
Question:
- “Did she literally invent bubblegum in-world?”
11. FAMILY RESPONSE
Established
- Old, well-standing, traditional elven household; Aeri is radically different.
Assistant suggestion:
- Family might see it as “a phase,” and a scene where they see her perform was proposed.
Accepted status:
- No actual family reaction was established.
Question:
- “How supportive, embarrassed, fascinated, or resistant is House Vellune toward Aeri’s inventions and public persona?”
12. VISUAL HAIR COLOR
User explicitly established
- Twin tails.
Images:
- Pale blonde/light hair with strong pink coloration/highlights in the twin tails.
Earlier assistant visual description:
- “Platinum blonde with pastel pink/blue streaks.”
Accepted status:
- Twin-tail style is canonical; exact dye/highlight pattern is visually consistent but not separately locked in text.
Question:
- “Keep the blonde-to-pink twin-tail palette as canonical?”
13. STORY SCENE LEVEL
“The Drop” uses multiple spells and depicts advanced battlefield control.
No level was stated.
Question:
- “Should ‘The Drop’ be treated as a literal low-level event, or as a later-career vignette?”
